A new theatrical poster of Into the White, featuring Rupert Grint, was released (and can be seen below). Grint’s new film is a World War II drama, encompassing an encounter between two enemy planes (one British, one German). When the planes shoot each other down in the harsh, winter wilderness of Norway, the two enemy flight crews must learn to work together in order to survive. Into the White is set to be released April 12th in the United States. IndieWire reports:

Last week, he had a role in “The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and his upcoming performances include playing The Dead Boys member Cheetah Chrome in “CBGB,” a part in the Dennis Wilsonbiopic “The Drummer,” and the lead voice role in the animated “Postman Pat.” And this spring, he’s earning his wings.

Into The White” co-stars Grint, David Kross, Stig Henrik Hoff, Florian Lukas and Lachlan Nieboer, and takes place at the beginning of World War II, where a hostile chance encounter in the skies above the harsh Norwegian wilderness leaves two aircraft ’ one British, one German ’ shot down in a remote and isolated region. The crews of each plane seek shelter in the same cabin, and the two enemies must rely on each other to survive the brutal winter conditions.

He is renowned for his fabulous sense of humor on the set. I'd love to see him in a comedy film that is tailor-made for him in his post-Potter career.Avatar ImageValeria-Johanna says: It's called 'Cross of Honour' in the UK. It was very good! It's too bad that so many had to wait for so long to watch this film! Also he wasn't that seriuor guy, he was sort of the comic relief in the film. It's very different from anything else he has played before, which is very interesting.Avatar ImageWON_TWO says: It sounds interesting. Nice to see Rupert expanding up his acting 'chops' with varied roles.Avatar ImageHarryLoverAllRound says: its really cool to see Rupert moving beyond and trying new things Way to go Rupert!
