Rachel Bray of Harry Potter for Grownups reports on an article in Empire Online about two parents who bid on wands used in the filming of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, which were part of a charity auction this weekend in Edinburgh for cancer charity Maggie’s Centre. The wands went for £12,500, and were donated by J.K. Rowling, who autographed the boxes with the reminder – ‘Remember: underage wizards must not use magic outside Hogwarts’.
The Leaky Cauldron Staff dittos the remarks by Empire Online – we would not be adverse to finding these – or any other movie set trinkets – in our holiday Crackers.
