Empire Online has a very interesting new article about the movie, wherein Chris Columbus refutes claims that the first cut is 4 hours long – he says the final will be between 2h 30m and 2h 35m.
He also gives a maddening hint about an original scene. He says it’s straight from JKR, and was something she wrote for the first book, but ended up cutting. It’s “one little sequence where we get a key into something that happened in Harry’s past.”
Some of us think they were waiting until now to drop this bomb, just to drive us all crazy with anticipation. It’s working.
