According to the London Telegraph, HUNDREDS of thousands of people has pre-bought tickets for the movie:

THE film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is set to break British box office records.

Fans have already pre-booked 500,000 seats and there have been requests to hire cinemas for private showings. The world premiere is at the Odeon, Leicester Square, on Sunday when most of the stars, including Richard Harris and Dame Maggie Smith, will be present.
