Beano, the famous, very traditionally British comic, will run a nine-page special teaming Harry Potter with the Bash Street Kids. Sunday Mail reports.

Rowling contacted Beano bosses to thank them as soon as she heard about the strip. Beano editor Eean Kerr said: “We’ve just had an e-mail from JK Rowling who was chuffed to bits. She said she’s flattered and honoured that we’re doing a Harry Potter edition.” Kerr said: “We always try to be topical, and of course everyone’s gone mad about the books and will go mad about the film. The story will have the Bash Street gang going to see the film and being inspired to stage their own Quidditch match.”
