Our reader Lorna Gilmour has taped all of Daniel Radcliffe’s recent TV interviews and here are some really cool snippets she sent us:

In an interview with Jonathan Ross on BBC1’s “Film 2001” 8/11/01, Daniel Radcliffe was reduced to helpless giggles when Jonathan asked him if there was any truth to the rumour going round that the Harry Potter films were being made as quickly as possible “before Robbie Coltrane’s (Hagrid’s) voice broke.” Daniel confirmed,”My voice broke just after we’d finished the first film, but we’ve done a few days pre-production on the second film. I’m really looking forward to doing that one, because the second book is my favourite,” and added, “We’re all losing teeth all over the place.” Jonathan asked, “Is that Richard Harris (Dumbledore), or just the kids?” and Daniel laughed, “Just the kids.”

Interviewed on BBC1’s “Breakfast” 14/11/01, he said, “I’ve done what I thought Harry would be like. Everybody is always going to have their own opinion of what something looks like, and I can’t change that.” Talking about how his parents were initially reluctant to let him try for the part, he said, “I have a tendency to get my hopes up, and they knew that there were so many famous boys auditioning for the part. They didn’t want me to get my hopes up and then be really disappointed.” And when asked how he would feel this Christmas knowing his image would be appearing under thousands of Christmas trees in the form of toys and action figures, he exclaimed, “You know, I never thought of that! I never thought I’d be under a Christmas tree! What an amazing thought.”
