Who’s Kredan?

J.K. Rowling responded to that very question today on twitter: Who is Kredan? Her answer: no one.

Apparently IMDB, Variety, even Harry Potter wiki, and the rumor mill not only got the name wrong, the actor cast in the role (Ezra Miller), but the role itself. Perhaps the character of Kredan is only misnamed…or maybe the character, or role, itself doesn’t exist at all. After all, Ms. Rowling’s tweet was a little vague in this regard.

There are very few known characters in the series. So far the movie will only star four people–Newt, Tina, Queenie, and Jacob. Sounds like a rather sparse and short story to tell for a trilogy. We do know that Newt meets witches and wizards from the American Hogwarts, but who these fellow characters are remains a mystery.

What do we know? Ezra Miller returns to being considered uninvolved in the “Fantastic Beast” series.
