One of the most magical things about Harry Potter’s world is how the pictures and paintings come to life. The famed, albeit sometimes biased, Daily Prophet is a prime example of this magic. While we do not have magic in the muggle world we do have technology that can help us emulate the other worldly phenomenon. Empire Magazine is set to publish their latest edition with moving images and embedded videos with exclusives of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Empire gives some of the details,

“the issue will feature some magic of its own: a specially designed, moving newspaper-style cover – think The Daily Prophet – embedded with not one, but two exclusive videos. Unless you’re counting the actual Daily Prophet, it’s a genuine world-first editorial execution”.

The issue will only run a limited print on such a special edition of their magazine.

“Yes, it’s a magazine with a video in it. Magic, eh? It’ll be revealing itself exclusively in Sainsbury’s on Thursday, 27 October. There’s only 5000 copies in this special run, so mark your diary to get down there early to bag your copy.”

While this is an UK exclusive the idea behind it is a brilliant one and hopefully other magazines will occasionally adopt this new technology. The magazine will be released next Thursday (October 27). To read more about their new issue visit Empire’s  site.
