“Fantastic Beasts” Clothing and Merchandise!

Earlier today, while waiting for round table and one-on-one interviews to commence, we had the opportunity to take a look at the Fantastic Beasts merchandise and costumes that will be made available through various outlets (Hot Topic, Noble Collection, Barnes and Nobel, etc.).

On our way up, we stopped by the wanted posters of the starring quartette. The posters are designed by Mira Mina and Eduardo Lima, the graphic designers of all eight Potter films as well as the Fantastic Beasts films.

Signed prints of MinaLima artwork were on display in the costume and merchandise room. Like the Harry Potter signed prints, Fantastic Beasts prints such as these will probably be made available to purchase through MinaLima galleries. The House of MinaLima is still open in London. When we walked in, we saw Newt’s coat and a 1920’s dress on display–both Hot Topic fashion items that will be available for fans to purchase this week–and Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts director David Yates was looking through more Hot Topic clothes on the rack. We exchanged pleasantries, and he commented on the great work done by the costume and graphic design teams of the films. We quite agree. After wishing him a good day, we too began to take a look at the other clothes in Hot Topic’s Fantastic Beasts line.

The attention to detail on the Fantastic Beasts fashion was incredible. Even the inside lining of the coats contained symbols and design referencing the Wizarding World. When these clothing items go on sale tomorrow, November 8, Potter and Beasts fans will not be disappointed.

The talent and crew were coming through to collect their goodie bags of Fantastic Beasts merch, but as Alison Sudol hadn’t come to claim her things just yet,  I was allowed to try on Alison’s Hot Topic replica of Queenie’s coat. I love pink and this coat and I were a match made in heaven–I’m sure many Potter/Beasts fans will feel the same way.

MuggleNet‘s Amy and Kat threw on Tina and Newt’s coat (and Tina’s hat!), and we represented the three staring wizards of Fantastic Beasts with a New York back drop. The Hot Topic Newt coat is incredible–heavy, durable, and contains a built in wand pocket. Complete the look with scarf and bowtie!

Other items on display included Noble Collection wands, bookmarks, and journals; Fantastic Beasts cd and vinyl; Hot Topic/Harry Potter shop scarves, tumblers, stickers, lanyards and more. Fantastic Beasts merch is coming, and coming by storm!

Hot Topic clothing and merchandise hits stores and online shopping tomorrow, Nov. 8! Other Fantastic Beasts items can be found on the WB/Harry Potter shop, with Barnes and Nobel and Noble Collection releasing items as the movie draws near. It’s time to go to Gringotts and withdraw those Galleons!
