Golden Globes Round-Up!

The 74th Golden Globe Awards Nominations are approaching fast, and along with many of our favorite actors from both the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films being nominated for awards, we were also thrilled to see that Jimmy Fallon will be hosting this year.

Fantastic Beasts’ Eddie Redmayne is listed as one of the presenters, among Viola Davis, Diego Luna, Mandy Moore, Zoe Saldana and many others.

Colin Farrell who played Percival Graves in Fantastic Beasts, is nominated for the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy category for his performance in The Lobster.

Ralph Fiennes who played Voldemort in the Harry Potter films, also starred in Kubo and the Two Strings, which is nominated for the Best Motion Picture: Animated category.

While Fantastic Beasts wasn’t nominated, it’s still exciting to see these Potter actors being recognized for other films. Game of Thrones, which stars multiple familiar Harry Potter actors, is again nominated for Best Series. The actors you might recognize include Natalie Tena (Tonks in Harry Potter) who played Osha, David Bradley (Argus Filch) who plays Walder Frey, Ciarán Hinds (Aberforth Dumbledore) who plays Mance Rayder, and a good number of others starring as minor characters who have also popped up within the series!
