Bloomsbury UK is throwing their annual Harry Potter Book Night on February 2nd, 2017. Every Potter fan knows how important the professors at Hogwarts are, and how much of an influence they have in Harry’s life, so why not celebrate them?

“They say that the influence of a good teacher can never be erased so who better to celebrate on Harry Potter Book Night 2017 than those who taught Harry Potter and his friends many magical skills. Whether it was the suave charm of Gilderoy Lockhart or the dark complexity of Severus Snape, many of the professors of Hogwarts had a huge impact on Harry Potter’s adventures at Hogwarts. So get ready to celebrate The Professors of Hogwarts on 2nd February 2017 when once again, fans of all ages will have the chance to celebrate J.K. Rowling’s wonderful series – and pass the magic on to young readers who haven’t yet discovered these unforgettable books. “

All ages are invited and everyone can register for the downloadable kit to throw your very own party at home! You can find the registration form for the kit here.  This is a wondeful chance to celebrate the wonderful world of Harry Potter with family and friends, and maybe even some of your favourite teachers.

Bloomsbury has also included an archive of activities; including a Diagon Halley hunt, Hogwarts Facts and Stats, Petrified Potters (a magical version of musical chairs), Potion Master (to invent your very own potions!), a spell wordsearch and much, much more!

To top it off, Bloomsbury is hosting a National Schools Competition (UK students only). They would like you to invent your very own Hogwarts professor! If your class wins, you’ll win a trip to Harry Potter at the Warner Bros. Studio London, the set of Harry Potter books, and themed goody bags. Download the template to design your own professor here.

Test your knowledge of all things Potter by hosting a quiz of your very own – defeat your foes by showing your extensive knowledge! (Or just have a bit of fun with newer or younger fans!)

When the night comes around, you can check this handy guide to where all sorts of different parties are happening in your area, as well as around the world. According to the map, there are already so many parties planned that it shouldn’t be hard to make new friends and muggles at one near you!
