Bookseller.com just announced the lineup for 2017’s London Book & Screen Week, including a “very special” screening of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s (or Sorcerer’s Stone if you’re here in the states!) at the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London, which is joined by a panel with Michael Morpurgo (writer of War Horse) and Roddy Doyle.

The London Book Fair strives to celebrate books as well as their film adaptations, and it’s city-wide! In addition to the Potter screening, different authors will introduce their film adaptations and instagram fitness stars will also be along to talk about “fitness in the digital age”.

Bookseller also states that,

“London’s award-winning LGBT literary salon Polari returns once again to The Light Lounge in Soho for a night of chat and cocktails hosted by Paul Burston, with joyous readings from Sophia Blackwell, Christopher Fowler and VG Lee. Meanwhile, The Irish Literary Society will host a “bumper” series of events to showcase “some of Ireland’s finest writers”.

The festival’s goal is to showcase different types of media and how essential books are for all forms of arts and creative industries.

Director of the event Jacks Thomas said that,

” In 2017, we are particularly proud to present the CAMEO awards in their inaugural year. The Creativity Across Media: Excellence and Originality Awards will identify the individuals who create some of the most successful film, stage, TV and game adaptations, telling inspiring, gripping, life-transforming stories here and across the globe.”

The festival premieres on March 13th, at the Soho house in London, and will also commence with the Creativity Across Media: Entertainment & Originality Awards (CAMEO) ceremony.
