As part of the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the UK release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the British Library will be mounting an exhibition titled Harry Potter: A History of Magic.

Tickets will go on sale April 3rd and the exhibit will run from October 20th 2017 – February 28th 2018.

According to Pottermore, the exhibit will look at some of the Muggle history, myth, art, and artifacts used to inform the magical world.  Both J.K. Rowling and Bloomsbury will contribute new material to the exhibit, which will also feature over 100 historic artifacts owned by the British Library or on loan from collections around the world.

The exhibit will be parsed into Hogwarts classes, with a room for each subject in the basic Hogwarts curriculum.  No word if Potions will be housed in the basement—we’ll just have to wait and see.

You can sign up here to receive more information about tickets and the exhibit.
