The Bath Chronicle reports that filming has wrapped up in Lacock and a total of seven children from Lacock School participated as extras as well as 11 students from Bath’s Ralph Allen school. They also mention some interesting news about Daniel Radcliffe as Harry:

Although 11-year-old Daniel Radcliffe has been officially cast in the title role, word from the set says that there are actually not one but four Harry Potters. Daniel is only allowed to work for three hours a day, and has a stand-in who is used when Harry is shot from behind and there are also two short men being used as stand-ins for the long shots.

The Chronicle also reports that there are 4 cats playing the one feline role and that they’ve been getting special treatment:

While members of the cast were freezing in the cloisters during filming, a special heater was used to warm up the stones so the cat would sit on them.

Apparently, most of the cast was on the set for the shoot including an actor identified as vetran comedy actor Lance Percival who was said to be playing the voice of the sorting hat.

First, because they report that most of the actors were on-site including the person playing the sorting hat, I believe the Lacock Abbey may be used for the Great Hall where meals and the sorting is held. Second, Leslie Phillips has been cast as the voice of the sorting hat, not Lance Percival and finally, there are two feline roles, not just the one – Mrs. Norris, Filch’s cat and McGonnagall in cat-form at the beginning of the book.
