The trailer is coming!

Well on the Galleries front we have had some recent new Half-Blood Prince news in the form of the 15 second IMAX Teaser. While it was exciting to see something new from Warner Brothers, this one line from the move wasn't enough to help satisfy my desire for HBP. Luckily this week the news came that the teaser trailer is finally coming! As a fan I'm so excited! Finally some sign that the movie is soon to be released. As a manager of some of the galleries here at Leaky, this news means lots of planning ahead.
What exactly does the release of a trailer mean for the galleries? Well first our wonderful Video Gallery staffers must grab the video. Once the video has been grabbed it then gets uploaded into our wonderful Vidoe Galleries. The next step in the process is to convert the video into screencaps, and upload those into the Image Galleries. Now I have no idea what sort of tekkie stuff they actually have to do to make these screencaps, but I'm very thankful for them! Why do we screencap the trailer? So we can obsess over it! Besides the fact that the screencapped images can be used for making icons, my personal addiction, trailer screencaps can give us the opportunity to see much more detail than you can ordinarily see from the trailer.
The reason I love trailers is that they get you excited for the movie by giving you a preview of many different parts of the movie. However they always show them so quickly that you can't really study each scene as it quickly flashes by you. With screencaps you can take the time to look at each scene shot by shot. Not only can you use screencaps to view the scenes one at a time, but you can use the high def caps to view every detail of the shot. Due to the fantastic sets that Warner Brothers puts together for each movie this is a real treat. In all of the past trailers there have been some fantastic screencaps depicting not only the wonderful dialog we will see in the forthcomming movie, but the great sets we will be seeing
One of the examples of great screencaps from the trailers includes this screencap here from the "OotP International Trailer". I love this trailer screencap because it realy seems to capture the Department of Mysteries so well in this image. The walls and walls of prophecy balls which you can see really help express the great size of this room. Another great part of this cap is the lighting. The crashing of the spheres seems so powerful, a feeling that is accented by the great lighting in this cap. Looking at this screencap I could not wait to see this scene in the Order of the Pheonix movie.
Now as excited that I am for the trailer, and resulting screencaps, there is some stuff I'm not ready to see yet. In the Full Length Order of the Pheonix trailer we got a sneak preview of "The Kiss". While I didn't mind this I don't want to see the big kiss of this movie! That Harry/Ginny kiss is by far my FAVORITE part of Half-Blood Prince, and if they give it away in the trailer I'll be seriously bummed. I guess we'll just have to wait until Tuesday to see!
