Happy Holidays to you all

I hope everyone has been having a wonderful holiday thus far, and for those of you who celebrate Christmas like I do, Merry Christmas!  Yesterday my mom and I made a cheesecake and she cut into it before it cooled.  I'm sure it tasted fine, but I like my cheesecake completely cooled.  It tastes different when it's warm, more like a custard.  But I didn't log on to talk about cheesecake.

This year I am so thankful for my family, friends, and my Leaky peeps.  I am blessed to be home for the holidays and spending it with my family.  I am also blessed that, while I am no longer able to see all of my friends on a regular basis, I know that I can pick up the phone and call my best friend and we can chat like we had just seen each other yesterday (I haven't seen my best friend since August).

But the people I am constantly impressed by those here at Leaky.  As a member of the Harry Potter community, I have come to know a lot of truly amazing people and I have watched as incredible things happened.  The fandom came together to help out charities and banded together to show support for J.K. Rowling in her time of need.  And when Melissa Anelli's book was published, we all cheered her on and celebrated her success right along with her. 

As a Transcription Elf and a LeakyCon staffer I have met some wonderful people and I have formed friendships that are very important to me.  I've seen what goes on behind the scenes and I have to say that Leaky would not be what it is without these people.  So, for creating a safe, thoughtful, and fun community for all us HP fans I say thank you.
