Oh Doris ~ Such a beautifully written blog. This one spoke straight to my heart. You put into words my exact feeling in regard to how fiction and its’ characters so profoundly effect our real world. Dumbledore has indeed, and will continue to leave his mark on the lives of all of us :)

Dumbledore deserves to live in the real world… but who know’s, our world may just be another book for him to live in ;)

I adore thinking about Dumbledore alive in another book somewhere – one never knows.

Thanks for popping in, don’t forget to check out HPA’s WWDD project if you love our favorite headmaster.

Wonderfully written :)
Dumbledore was my favorite character since the beginning of the series. I still remember how much I cried up on learning his death in the HBP. It was 2am, 26 hours after the release of the book, and I was crying my eyes out in my room. He always felt real to me, and I always thought that if someone was to ask me which character you wished was real, my answer would always be (and still is) Dumbledore.

Since I don’t have Twitter, I’d like to share my favorite quote of his from the end of Goblet of Fire here:
“Remember Cedric. Remember if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort.”

I adore that quote of Dumbldores. It shows his love for friends, even in a time of war he remembered those who died for the cause.

I cried my eyes out when I read Dumbledore’s death. I cried for Harry and the wizarding populous at large, because they lost the most important, if not unconventional, figure in their community. Dumbledore’s death marked the second-coming of dark times that would stretch their strength and faith to its limits, and would surely mean the further loss of loved ones. It’s easy to apply these feelings to our own lives when we realize that stability, whether at home or across the globe, is fleeting. We see ourselves in the fictional witches and wizards who drew their families closer and fought fiercely for what they believed in. We would do no differently if our way of life was threatened. Jo Rowling has such stalwart fans not only because the HP series has been such a privilege to read, but because she’s written all of us, and all of those we know, into these stories. I will always be thankful that she chose to share the talent she was blessed with.

Dumbledore was something more than a fictional character to the hearts of true fans. I don’t cry very often when I read sad things in books I just feel the pain of it inside but I was so close to crying or even shed a tear when Dumbledor died. When I saw the movie it was so hard to keep my self from crying I really felt sad but I know that Dumbledor is not gone that he will apear again and we will see his wisdome again. Dumbledore gave us some of the wisest things we know that we will never forget.
