Just wanted to wish you luck on your first sock!! Mine turned out to be terrible because I was doing the pattern all wrong, thanks to some confusing directions in my knitting guidebook, but I still have it tucked away in a drawer for old time’s sake. Just beware of Second Sock Syndrome: it really does exist!! Even if you don’t match the sock, you should start on your second sock as soon as you finish your first, or else it just will never, ever happen.

My apologies for taking way too long to respond to these comments. Needless to say, I did NOT finish any of my attempts at projects for the Olympics. Not one. Not even half a sock. Sad panda. I got busy with job interviews, and stuff, and now am at a new job, so…there you go. Olympic dreams are many, and great. I’ll keep reaching. There’s always the summer Olympics in two years, right?
