Sadly with Deathly Hallows taking A LOT of time to fil, I doubt any of those actresses would be available, although out of all of them I reckon Natalia Tena (Tonks) would be the most likely. Evanna would make a great friendly alien though.

Is it me or do lots of H.P. fans like Doctor who too?

Well with RTD gone, and his Jo plot shot down, not likely we’ll get any of the actors in character but there have been a few HP actors who’ve done Who after Potter. David Tennant and Andrew Lloyd Pack are the only ones I can remember right now but I’m sure there have been more through the years. Personally, I’m hoping for a male and female companion to travel with the doctor. A Ron Weasley Type (Rupert might be available when they start filming with Matt Smith) and an older (sorry) strong woman like Helena Bonham Carter.

Since River Song recognized David Tennant’s Doctor immediately, and as "very early days" in their relationship, she’s going to have to show up at some point in the next year and "meet" him.

Jenny could always regenerate and return as a different age to dispel some of that creepy (It would be quite fun if his daughter were physically older than he)— I’ve heard rumors that she’s been tooling around the universe searching for Time Lords and will return with a few in tow — and we’ve all wondered about the ones who were trapped in alternate dimensions (Romana, anyone?) or hermits, or otherwise unlikely or unable to have been on Gallifrey during the burning of it. But we can trust rumors about as much as new DA teachers at Hogwarts.

I’m with you on Donna. Love Donna. Not fair to just snip off that character’s thread like that.

I would like a male companion. One who sticks around for a bit. (Jack doesn’t count)

I would also like a non-human companion. Or at least a human who isn’t from the early 21st century (Again, Jack doesn’t count). Non-human, male… but NOT ADRIC. Just saying.

Yay! According to latest reports, Freema’s coming back, which is bound to be awesome. I personally absolutely LOVE Matt Smith – he was excellent in The Ruby In The Smoke and The Shadow In The North, and I can see him being a more thoughtful Doctor than Ten. I was defo expecting an older Doctor, because the Moff said he thought the Doctor should be mad grandad-style, but he addressed on the Confidential episode that he thought Smith was exactly the right person for the role.

I’m looking forward to River Song coming back, and she will HAVE to come back or fans are going to be re-heeeally annoyed (this fan included). I don’t know if anyone’s heard the Eighth Doctor radio plays, they’re completely amazing, but the Eighth Doctor’s companion on there is a girl called Lucie Miller played by Sheridan Smith (Joey in the recent Jonathan Creek episode The Grinning Man). She’s a really cool companion, kind of like Rose but more gobby, and I think she should make it to the actual show. :D

Frak yes, I love Doctor Who. Harry Potter fans that love Doctor Who are just the best. Although I really need to get hold of some Old-Who, because I don’t consider myself a REAL DW fan until I’ve watched all the episodes! Oh dear! _

I don’t really know anything about Matt Smith . . . I’ve just kind of dived into the Doctor Who universe a couple of weeks ago getting attached to Tennant as the Doctor just as they announced he’s leaving the show (you can imagine my outrage XD).

I’m a little annoyed that Smith as the Doctor (judging by the promo pictures) does have such defining hair, but I suppose it might be a trait the 10th Doctor would have carried over into his next form. I’m still getting my companions straight (I only met Jack today watching The Stolen Earth), so I can’t really comment on that bit. I just hope they get someone worth caring about, and that they don’t rush straight into any romance.

Actually, I think he has a good look to play the part of the good doctor, and Tonks would make the most awesome companion.

Haha, I like your point about a Who/Potter crossover, but I think it’s probably a bit too "not gonna happen" that the two largest franchises would come together like this. Plus I think that both Emma and Bonnie are a bit too young for the part. But who knows, maybe in a later series, we’ll have to see.

Other than that, I’m not big on British actresses, apart from the big ones, like Julie Walters and Maggie Smith and obviously I don’t think they’d fit the part, haha. We’ll have to see :)

RTD left? Oh great. And here I was wanting to keep watching but also wanting to quit because I love David as The Doctor and decided to stick around only for Mr. Davies. Now I have to find some other reason to keep watching since I really don’t want to quit.
Tonks would be probably cooler as a companion than Martha, certainly, but I love Rose and Donna too much to give Tonks more praise than that.
I love that there’s other Potter/Doctor Who fans!

Lol @ a Potter Who. That would be so so awesome but somehow I really can’t see it happening. Ever. :(

I’m also hoping Donna will come back – she is my favourite out of the three companions, but as long as Rose doesn’t make a permanent reappearance I’m happy!

Captain Jack should totally be the new companion – how cool would that be lol

Luna (Evanna) as a companion? heck yeah! True, she’s really too young and it would never happen, but man, that would be hillarious.

Gosh, you mention a HP crossover and my brain’s exploding from excitement. Yeah, it won’t happen, but that would be so cool if someone was a companion! Didn’t RTD ask JKR once if she’d write an episode or something? That would have been great, I think.
