Kids’ Butterbeer

Large bottle of IBC root beer
1/2 stick of butter or margarine (or butter flavoured liquid)
1/2 cup of cream
Oil cruets, glasses or pyrex measuring cups


Remove the lid of the IBC root beer and warm it in a double boiler. This will keep it from losing its fiz.

Melt the butter or margarine and let it cool.

Put the margarine or butter and the cream in the oil cruets.

Supply each invitee with a glass (use plastic for kids) 1/2 full of warm root beer (about 6 oz).

Let them add their desired amount of cream and melted butter to create their own brew of Butterbeer.
