With MC, sew the feet to the base of the body with the purl ridge acting as the "toes".

With WS's facing each other and using MC, sew the MC left wing to CC left wing; sew all around the edges but do not stuff. Repeat with the right wing pieces.

Center the BO edges of the wings at the sides of the body 2½" (6.35 cm) down from the top of the head. With MC to the front and CC to the back, sew the top 2½" (6.35 cm) of the wings to the body.

Cut 5 strands of each color, each piece 6" (15.24 cm) long. Thread the 5 strands of CC evenly in a line through the back of the body, 2" (5.08 cm) up from the feet. Pull each strand through so that each end is equal in length and tie a knot. Repeat with the 5 strands of MC, placing them just above the strands of CC.
