Set of US3 or 4 (3.25 or 3.50 mm) DPNs
Two 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) white domed buttons with a loop on the back large enough to string the yarn through.
Black paint
Clear nail polish

Instructions
Paint black irises on the white domed buttons and, when dry, seal with clear fingernail polish.
Set aside and let them dry for at least an hour.
On the worsted yarn, strand the two buttons, slip toward the yarn ball.
Cast on 3 stitches, one on each needle, holding the two yarns together as one.
Row 1: Inc in each st.
Row 2: *Inc, k1* 3 times
Row 3: *k1, inc, k1* 3 times
Row 4: *inc, k2, inc* 3 times
Row 5: K 1, slide a button up, p1, k1, slide a button up, p1, k to end
Rows 6-9: k
Row 10: *dec, k2, dec* 3 times
Row 11: *k1, dec, k1* 3 times
Stuff firmly, as understuffing can result in shape loss.
Row 12: *dec, k1* 3 times
Row 13: dec in each st
Use a drawstring closure to bind off.
Leave the tail long and use to sew on a clip if you wish.
