It would appear that the Gabriel Thompson rumours are false. Warner Bros have announced the casting of 11 year old Daniel Radcliff as Harry. Daniel previously appeared in BBC’s adaptation of David Copperfield, as young David. Ron and Hermoine will be played by newcommers Rupert Grint (age 11) and Emma Watson (age 10). Harry has been cast and he is 13-year-old British actor Gabriel Thompson. Gabriel has previously played young Pip an a recent BBC adaptation of Great Expectations and Pinnochio in New Line’s The New Adventures of Pinnochio.

Casting News. According to reports at a book festival in Edinburgh, Warner Bros has signed Maggie Smith and Robbie Coltrane for the roles of McGonagall and Hagrid.
