At long last – enjoy our post Deathly Hallows Part 2 episode of PotterCast recorded live at LeakyCon FEATURING EVANNA LYNCH (Luna Lovegood) and SCARLETT BYRNE (Pansy Parkinson) and many of YOUR questions about the film!
I loved when Snape was dying and Harry looked at him and he said, “You have your mother’s eyes” that line was not in the book, but it was a beautiful line, it surprised Harry and made the audience wonder, is there more to Snape!
I also loved when Helena played Hermione – she did such a great job with her mannerisms, you really knew it was supposed to be Hermione.
Thank you, I had such a great time listening to this podcast!! Evanna and Scarlet were awesome too!! Evanna’s imitation of Voldemort’s aaaahh (After destruction of diadem) was EPIC!!!
I would’ve loved to hear you discuss how they left out of in the movie that big battle after Neville kills the snake (in the books), with the centarus, Grawp, The house-elves, and Slughorn & Charlie Weasley returning with “reinforcements”. I really hope you talk about it next episode!
I love your podcast LOVE it. Thank you again!! I’d cool if you could invite Evanna every podcast in the future!
Melissa, thank you thank you THANK YOU for your comment about Voldemort’s death and how he is “just a man.” That’s exactly what my friends and I said after we saw it, too! So glad someone else agrees!
Hey PotterCast great episode. Was wondering when will all the episodes of PotterCast EVER be posted on iTunes? I would love to complete my collection. Thanks!
Great episode! Evanna is such a fan girl – I love it! One of my favorite scenes was not mentioned though – the one where Harry opens the Resurrection Stone. Major tear-jerker with the dialogue pretty much straight from the book. I think Dan’s delivery of “I never wanted any of you to die for me” was spot on, and Lily’s lines were so tender. I was in tears for the whole scene. What do the PotterCast hosts think of it?
I loved most of the movie. Still not a fan of having the final battle be outside with no one around. Loved the Gringotts scene and the one in the room of requirement with the fiendfyre.
Loved the movie! I loved Snape’s memories and the Gringotts scene! And of course when Hermione asnd Ron were in the chamber! Love your podcasts! Maybe you could do a Pottercast all about the relationships between Harry and Ginny, and Hermione and Ron.
I loved this podcast! I’m from Ireland and I went to the premire and Evanna was there, it ment so much because Luna is my favourite character and the actress is Irish!! I said to my friend I guess it was the look of the Irish!!! I loved Snape in this film but Alan Rickman’s acting hasn’t been that consitent throughtout the seris but ah well!!! DEATHLY HALLOWS PART II IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you think boggarts become harder to control as you grow up? PoA, the students make it become spiders, mummies, and Snape. But Molly Weasley can’t handle boggarts because she sees her family dead. Is it just because your imagination becomes more aware of the world and finds more terrifying things?
listening to this makes me very very exited for next LeakyCon found out about this whole site and LeakyCon and everything like a month ago, will be attache to this place now! Evanna was such a great Luna, omygosh I wish I was at this last LeakyCon!!!1
I am a huge Harry Potter fan. However, I must say in all honesty that I was incredibly disappointed by the last movie. The lack of detail was terrible. I understand that the discussions with griphook would have been rather dull and I don’t mind that they skipped that. However, I do mind that there was no discussion with aberforth about Dumbledore’s past and that Harry in general is not confused about Dumbledore. I loved Snape’s flashback. I hated how Harry appeared in the Great Hall. I was also looking forward to having the whole school lift their wands against Slytherin to protect him. I hated Neville’s speech. I hated how Harry runs around the castle with Voldemort and then hugs him. It was awful. I also hate the lack of fight scenes. I thought the Battle of Hogwarts was going to be epic and it was in no way epic. I wish the whole school could have watched Harry duel Voldemort. I could go on forever but i think that is enough for now.
Ten years before I always dreamed to be a lucky guy likes Harry Potter, but now I just wish that if I could do my best to be a real man likes Severus Snape.
I absolutely loved this podcast – it really answered some burning questions, as in, did anybody else feel like this about the movie?????????
The one scene that I really wished that I could have seen, apart from all the ones mentioned, was Lupin.
I really, really wanted David Yates to include Remus Lupin, in both the first and second part of the seventh film – their conflict, and then, at Shell Cottage – their reunion, and harry becoming a godfather, and Lupin becoming a father, because, to me that was really important, and as it was, it was just so, propped up, at the end, when Harry says “And your son, Remus”, so many people were like, what??? Remus had a son?!?! It wasn’t very well done, I think. But I agree with the issues and opinions of the podcast completelly – thanks so much for spouting out my opinions – and also, Evanna and Scarlett, you are AWESOME!!!
I really loved your podcast – thank you so much! I really, really loved all of your very valid comments, which I also had and hoped that others had noticed. So, thanks! And also, I’d just like to say, I cried. I wept, all four times that I’ve seen it so far…and I’m proud that I’ve been able to feel deeply enough to cry. I had a Harry Potter marathon, right before I saw part 2 – I watched 17.5 hours of Harry Potter, and then I also saw 3 hours of special effects, and then I went and saw Part 2 – and it was absolutely spiffing!!!!!!!!!!!! Really, really, cool. I loved it!
I just want to ask if they will be tons of LeakyCons to follow the 2012 one because, I won’t be able to go to any for a few years and it’s one of my aims in life! I just watched the latest LeakyCon 2011 video and got upset watching it even though I wasn’t there! I think that’s partly it though, I couldn’t go, and I’m just kind of worried I’ll never get the chance to.
