Thanks to reader Petra for the heads up on this article from Croatia that says actor Rade Serbedzija has completed his first scenes as Wandmaker Gregorovitch for the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. In a rough translation of the piece, Mr. Serbedzija says that he has one scene with acclaimed actor Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort) and praised the actor calling him "amazing." He also said that meeting with actors Dan Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton was fun as they joked and called him "Boris the Blade" in reference to his character in the film "Snatch."
Filming continues in London on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows with Part One DUE IN THEATERS ONE YEAR FROM TODAY! :)
No, we definitely do not know what Gregorovitch is supposed to look like, except he’s an old man. I wish people would stop complaining about the lack of visual likeness in the book to film translations. And it doesn’t really matter if he doesn’t know anything about HP. We won’t notice while watching the movie, will we?
Rade Serbedzija is a good actor and should do well in this role. I’m glad to see that this scene is being filmed. It gives me hope the movie will closely follow the book and the film is going to include all parts from the book, but we’ll see!
This is exciting news … I cant believe it’s one year from today. That’s going to come around so soon, especially considering that the HBPDVD hasnt even been released yet.
yayayayayyayayayayayayaay! So Exciting!
