Update: Filming took place today on Freshwater Beach for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for scenes involving Shell Cottage. Many reports to TLC say actor Toby Jones was there, perhaps just for rehearsal purposes only, for scenes involving Dobby. Warwick Davis was also there as Griphook, with other cast members such as Dan Radcliffe (Harry) Emma Watson (Hermione) Rupert Grint (Ron) Evanna Lynch (Luna) and their doubles were filming both on the dunes and rehearsing down on the beach. Readers Maddie and Gemma report that Rupert was there dressed in a beard and wig for Ron Weasley's transformation, and possibly the photos are of Emma Watson dressed as Bellatrix for the transformation to Gringotts out of Shell Cottage.

Yeah I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how they shoot the dobby scenes. I didn’t think Jones would actually act out the scenes with Dan. Didn’t they just use a tennis ball on a stick in Chamber of Secrets? It’s interesting that he’d be there at the filming if he’s just going to do voice over work later. Hmm… definitely need pics. Can’t wait to see them.
Man, that Warwick Davis. Hardest working little person in show business! I’m glad he gets to play a part with a bit more to do than flitwick. He’s such a great actor.
What’s Bellatrix doing at Shell Cottage? Surely she’s left behind at the mansion, no? Wonder if there’s some neat effects shot that involves part of her getting apparated there. Interesting…
I think it is good to have the actor there as it is an emotional scene and will no doubt help the performance. I wonder if they are subsequently going to do some motion capture with Dobby as they did with Gollum in LoTR.
I couldn’t be completely sure that it was Toby Jones, but the photo does look like him! I thought maybe he was just there to help rehearse it, it is a very emotional scene after all. No idea what Bellatrix was doing there, I have a few theories, possibly she came with them when they apparated, or that maybe they were they are filming a scene just before they go to Gringotts, and it’s actually not Bellatrix, but Hermione after taking the polyjuice potion? Just a thought of course!
So I guess Toby Jones does his lines — and then he’s taken out of the film and replaced by a CGI Dobby. Must be an odd scene on the set.
