There are now only 78 days left until "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" hits theaters! We are posting a quote from the first half of the book every day in celebration and to give us a chance to discuss and ponder the final book as it goes to film. Here is today's quote!
"Why did half of us never even know she existed, until they carried the coffin out of the house and held a funeral for her? Where was saintly Albus while Ariana was locked in the cellar? Off being brilliant at Hogwarts, and never mind what was going on in his own house!"
- Auntie Muriel
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, "The Wedding"
Auntie, Auntie, Auntie. It is not polite to gossip! Haha! She is a very interesting character that I think really brought the part about Dumbledore’s past to a very interesting situation where everything is questioned.
I like her, she had character. She said exactly what was on her mind without fear of what anyone said or thought of her. So what she wasn’t tactful, as far as I’m concerned less BS in the world.
Auntie Muriel is on the same level of INSANEANNOYINGNESS as Rita Skeeter. ARGH she really pissed me off. x(
Good that she was completely wrong though! Those things she said we’re horrible…
Aunt Muriel is the personification of the cynical gossip who is old enough to know that people are not perfect and naturally assumes the worst. A lot of newspapers are sold because of people’s need to read about well known successful figures being attacked in just this way.
Auntie Muriel peeves me…
