The full theatrical trailer for Dan Radcliffe's film, "Kill Your Darlings," is now online and can be viewed here or below. Radcliffe portrays a young Allen Ginsberg in the film.

Looks from the trailer like this film is more about Lucien Carr and the stalker he ultimately killed, David Kammerer, than it is about Ginsberg, who was much less involved in that whole situation than Burroughs and Kerouac.

I must admit, its looks interesting. I’ll probably at some point end up renting it. Dan with an American accent is quite different. :)

Dan does manage to hide his English accent pretty well, based on these excerpts. But sorry to say, he doesn’t sound a bit like Ginsberg, who may have swapped his family’s Judaism for Buddhism, but never stopped sounding like a Jewish guy from the Bronx! I had the privilege of hearing him read his poetry live at my college campus in the ‘70s, when he was already quite gray, so can attest to that personally. Still, that’s a minor quibble that would probably only matter to a New Yorker, and I am looking forward to seeing Dan’s performance, which reportedly has been getting some Oscar buzz on the film festival circuit.
