Happy Birthday to Katherine Waterston and Miranda Richardson!

Today marks the birthdays of Fantastic Beasts‘ Tina Goldstein, Katherine Waterston, as well as Harry Potter‘s Rita Skeeter, Miranda Richardson!

Katherine Waterston quickly became a beloved witch through her performance as Tina, giving Newt a scolding and constantly trying to stitch him up to MACUSA – her honour is completely understood, we’re sure Hermione would get it! Katherine recently starred in the trailer for Alien: Covenant where she portrays an equally strong female lead. Instead of hunting for cute creatures and trying to help an Obscurus, however, she’s hunting aliens! Watch the trailer below and read more here:

Miranda Richardson hit the nail on the head with her portrayal of Rita Skeeter, bringing sass and boldness to the role. We wish she’d featured more in the films!

Miranda is set to star as Clementine Churchill in biographical drama / thriller following the eponymous Winston Churchill the 24 hours prior to D-Day in Churchill, a drama following the search for justice of a victim of the Boston Marathon bombing called Stronger, and comedy The Happy Prince, following the last days of Oscar Wilde. She also features in iBoy (released in January on Netflix), which also stars Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams.
