The London Telegraph has an article about Fiona Shaw’s next venture, playing Medea on stage. In the article, she discusses her involvement as Aunt Petunia in the Harry Potter film:
She is keener than ever on film. Having starred in a number of mediocre mainstream Hollywood movies, she’s upbeat about the chances of her next. The screen version of the first Harry Potter book was always going to be a phenomenon. It has a cast and creative team to die for, and the woman who, come November, is destined to be recognised everywhere as Harry’s horrible Aunt Petunia ventures that it should be “very good indeed”. “Oh lucky generation of children, who’ve not only got the books but also these films coming their way.”
