According to Yahoo News, a Lyon and Turnbull auction is soon to house a very special item:

The auction house is also selling an uncorrected proof copy of J.K. Rowling’s first Harry Potter book — “Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone” — which is expected to sell for up to 3,000 pounds.

The item will run alongside a first-edition Jane Austen. There are proofs of CoS and PoA up for grabs as well, from Sotheby’s.(Thanks Slon, for the link!)

The Leaky Cauldron is not associated with J.K. Rowling, Warner Bros., or any of the individuals or companies associated with producing and publishing Harry Potter books and films.
