David Thewlis, A.K.A. Remus Lupin in the upcoming PoA film, is making his directing debut with his new film, Cheeky. Cheeky will be shown on November 1st as part of the 47th London Film Festival. Ian Hart (Professor Quirrell) has a part in the film. Thank you, Sue, for the tip!

UK’s Mirror thinks it’s strange that a Harry Potter fan paid £28,000 last year for a card containing 93 words from the then yet-to-be-published Order of the Phoenix. They fail to note that the auction was for charity.

US Magazine has named J.K. Rowling the most powerful woman in Hollywood. Was there even a question? EDIT: It isn’t ‘US Magazine’, it’s a United States magazine (Entertainment Weekly, as TLC reader Sue pointed out). Forgive my flub – although I’m actually sort of amused by it. 🙂
