PoA has Record-breaking Opening in UK

PoA opened in the UK today (on a national holiday) to what, as was expected, is the biggest opening day in UK history. It grossed about $9 million from 535 locations, in one day, which is higher than HPSS ($3.9 million) and HPCOS ($3.99 million) combined. (It’s worth noting that there are perhaps three buses in the entire city of London that are not splattered with HP posters.) This weekend, when the movie opens in more than 50 territories, Prisoner of Azkaban, riding high on very strong reviews, will likely shatter quite a few more records.
