J.K. Rowling on Forbes Celebrity Power List

Forbes magazine has released yet another list, this one of the most powerful celebrities. Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling is listed this year at number twenty two, falling from last year’s spot at number six. The top spot went to talk show host Oprah Winfrey.

One of a handful of billionaires on the Celebrity 100; her Harry Potter oeuvre has sold 265 million copies worldwide. And that’s before counting book six: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince comes out on July 16 but has already been an Amazon.com bestseller. The next movie installment, Goblet of Fire, will come out in November.
