Barnes & Noble have now posted a new video interview with Jim Dale, the narrator of the US Harry Potter audio books. In this video interview, he addresses things such as how he creates the voices of the characters in the books. For example, he says that the voice of Professor McGonagall is based on an old aunt of his who came from Scotland. He says that only once, in out of 200 voices, did J.K. Rowling tell him to change the accent of a character which had a Scottish one to a different Yorkshire accent. While he does not talk about the Half-Blood Prince book, alas, this is a very interesting interview, and he does give some advice as well to would-be writers. Click here to watch. Enjoy!
