Today, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences sent out a press release announcing the list of films in consideration for an award in the category of sound editing, and this list included the newest Harry Potter movie. In the category of “Achievement in Sound Editing,” Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is one of seven films noted on this list, along with such others as King Kong, Chronicles of Narnia, Revenge of the Sith and others. Members of the voting academy will screen clips from all seven eligible films and narrow it down to a final three. The Oscar Award nominations will be formally announced on January 31st. Thanks Paul!
