Oldman Update

As we have been reporting, speculation about Gary Oldman’s involvement (or lack thereof) in OotP has been running rampant lately. Although the actor has not signed a contract yet, negotiations are continuing. This led to wide concern that Mr. Oldman would not be returning and the part of Sirius Black would have to be recast. Today, Producer David Heyman weighed in on the subject, saying:

“We’re not shooting his part for quite a while, and as is always the case, you begin with the parts that are most pressing . . . We have every intention of having Gary Oldman play Sirius Black.”
