As this year winds to an end and we now have a title for the last Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, there are several news articles online tonight all focusing on a potential release of Book Seven in 2007.
The Observer has a new profile of Jo, in an opinion piece titled “JKRowling: The mistress of all she surveys,” where they note ” 2007 will be the biggest Harry Potter year yet as the final volume appears. Controlling this frenzy from her Edinburgh home is the elusive author who, both on and off the page, never appears to make a false move.”

As this is the seventh book in the series, readers might find this list of “seventy-seven things you need to know about 07” from The Independent an intriguing read. Note at number 17 on this list they do mention Harry Potter, as they say “The sixth instalment, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, sold seven million copies on the first day of its release in America.”

While this is all very interesting, as we know there has been no official release date yet announced, however the NY Times continues fanning the flames of a possible summer release for Deathly Hallows with this piece that is titled “7/7/07 Has Hogwarts Written All Over It.
