Despite the formal press release earlier this week from Warner Bros stating that casting is now complete for the upcoming “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” film, UK tabloid The Sun has a new article online tonight involving the sixth Harry Potter movie, and the daughter of pop superstar Madonna. With a headline blaring “She’s Lourdes Voldemort,” the paper reports that:
MADONNA’s daughter LOURDES – nicknamed Lola – has been asked to join Harry Potter and his pals battling Lord Voldemort in the next film in the blockbuster series. Warner Brothers approached the 11-year-old – whose dad is fitness trainer Carlos Leon – through Madge…An executive at Warners wanted to cast Lola in the last Potter film and has renewed his interest for the next movie. Lola would love to do it – she is a huge fan. Lourdes was only offered a small part, but it could be her big break.
As always, please keep this very much in the rumor category until we can obtain confirmation. Thanks Radcakesfan!
To farseer and others doubting the Sun, I’m pretty sure they were the first ones to mention that Helen McRory was supposed to play Bellatrix Lestrange but that she was pregnant.
Although I don’t think this is likely, I do think it needs to be pointed out that whilst Lourdes is American, she has lived in England for years now and is likely to have lost her American accent. That is the important thing, that the cast members that are supposed to be British actually sound British (ie have a natural British accent, not a fake one cough Johnny Depp cough!) not whether or not they actually are British.

I hope this is not true. How Pathetic.Casting daughters of famous people. It can’t be true.
IF it’s true, I don’t mind, as long as she can act. She would probably only have a very small role anyway, rather like Alex Watson did in OoTP.
Lourdes IS American by birth, but because she’s lived more than half of her life in England, she also qualifies as British, and can have dual nationality. Plus she has an accent that is a mixture so I’m guessing she can perfect an English accent if needs be.
HOWEVER, I wouldn’t put much stock in what the Sun prints, they are a tabloid afterall.
That’s very strange, because I recall a story about Madonna’s daughter being refused a part in a previous Harry Potter movie. She can’t be simultaneously turned down and pursued, so someone’s lying, most probably her mama. No producer in their right mind would hire her, anyway, not for this.
Sounds like a lot of press releases from over the years announcing Madonna getting parts in movies that never happened. One way for a failed actress to get free publicity, just have a friend call a “tip” in to a paper and suddenly it’s front page news. How important, huh?
this maybe fake
but if its true…”Lourdes Voldemort” is suspicious.

11-year-old Voldy’s girl victim anyone?
She don’t need to talk for a part like that, it shouldn’t matter if she was American, or whatever…IMO.
