Despite the formal press release earlier this week from Warner Bros stating that casting is now complete for the upcoming “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” film, UK tabloid The Sun has a new article online tonight involving the sixth Harry Potter movie, and the daughter of pop superstar Madonna. With a headline blaring “She’s Lourdes Voldemort,” the paper reports that:
MADONNA’s daughter LOURDES – nicknamed Lola – has been asked to join Harry Potter and his pals battling Lord Voldemort in the next film in the blockbuster series. Warner Brothers approached the 11-year-old – whose dad is fitness trainer Carlos Leon – through Madge…An executive at Warners wanted to cast Lola in the last Potter film and has renewed his interest for the next movie. Lola would love to do it – she is a huge fan. Lourdes was only offered a small part, but it could be her big break.
As always, please keep this very much in the rumor category until we can obtain confirmation. Thanks Radcakesfan!
This film’s subtitle should be HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF NEPOTISM. Did you guys know that Bonnie Wright’s parents own Teague and Wright a very prestigious jeweler in Mayfair? I lay odds that any little gifts given by the Potter cast from that store were freebies. Rich people will always find a way to stay rich.
Sort of unrelated question here…..but have they cast anyone for the Gaunts yet? Especially Merope? I really hope they haven’t cut her story out, considering it is a pretty big part. Does anyone know?
I think thats stupid. There are millions of people who are fans and DONT get to be in the movie. I dont think Madonnas daughter is an actress, and she should get no privelage just for being a fan and the daughter of a celebrity…however, I doubt this is true.

Hmmmmm…I can´t quite decide which “casting” rumour is the stupiest: “This one or the one from years back about Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) playing Voldemort
Okay, I have nothing against Madonna and certainly nothing against her daughter. She looks sweet and she likely is a nice, wonderful young girl. And, yes, I know how it works in the world, Nepotism everywhere. I don´t like it (how many kids worldwide would do almost anything to participate in a HP movie, just they don´t have rich and/or famous parents or one of their parents is involved in making the movies coughNIGELcough), but I am realistic enough to see that it is how it works. Now, likely Lourdes is a huge fan just like we are, so we shouldn´t hold it against her that she has a famous mother. What I worry about is that just hiring the kid of a world-star for pure PR reasons will take away from the real story. The WB have gotten so much wrong already. I will be majorly pissed, if any second Lourdes might be onscreen will take away from Ron for example. They have shunted this character enough already (and lately Hermione as well.) Please, rather give Ron more text (because the in the books he actually talks!!) than using non-canon characters, who have more screentime than canon-characters coughNIGELcough or celebrity kids just for the sake of PR.
You can have dual citizenship from the British point of view, but not from the U.S. —because you have to give up your citizenship to become a subject of the crown and the U.S. frowns on that. As far as they are concerned, you are a “stateless” person and no longer a U.S. citizen, even if you were born here.
So if she has a “dual citizenship” passport, it’s only good in the UK and the US would not consider her a citizen. She COULD audition for whatever part it is, but yes parts shouldn’t be able to be given away like that, it isn’t fair to other kids trying out for the movie.
How can you say the Sun tells rumors and gossip.
Of course she will have a prominent role in HBP,
she will play the role of Quidditch captain and Seeker
for the house of Sparklypoo
or

"Harry said good-bye to you," he said. "Didn't you hear him?... You aren't going to see your nephew till next summer," he said to Uncle Vernon in mild indignation. "Surly you're going to say good-bye?"
