Brilliant, congrats everyone. I am holding out hopes for the Critics Circle and Laurence Olivier Awards in the new year too!

I just want to point out that Dan Radcliffe, Maggie Smith and Zoe Wanamaker were also all longlisted in the best actor/actress categories for their roles in the Evening Standard Theatre Awards. None won but still good going, especially for Dan in his first major theatre role!

Equus was wonderful, as was The Dumb Waiter. But Happy Days put me to sleep. Of course it could have been because I’d got off the plane from the US that morning. : P

Congratulations on another nomination Dan! he’s really making a name for himself in the Theater world. Hope he wins this one although I’m really looking forward to the Laurence Olivier award more.

BTW, don’t you find it curious that Richard Griffiths hasn’t been nominated so far? I thought he was also good in Equus…

Avatar Image says:

dayanara – yes I thought he was great, especially the interaction between him and Dan. But some reviewers seemed to think he was miscast. He wasn’t longlisted for the Evening Standard awards either.
