Nooooooooooo! Doctor, you can’t!

I know I’m a day late and a dollar short with this, but… David Tennant has made it official. He is only staying through the specials next year, and will not be doing a series 5 of Doctor Who.

I’m speechless. But hey, at least we got the trailer at the end for Christmas.
Not comforting? Yeah, I know. Wasn’t doing much to make up for it for me, either. *sigh*
So, who’d you like to see as the next doctor? Are we OK to start talking Dan and Rupert again? 😛 Just kidding…
In all seriousness, David Tennant is, for all intents and purposes, my Doctor. I was introduced to Doctor Who with the Christmas Invasion, so he’s always going to be my first Doctor. I love Chris Eccleston (and would actually argue he is probably a better Doctor), but David Tennant had me at “Hello! I’m the Doctor.” I’ve even got a soft spot for Peter Davison, now that I’ve had a chance to familiarize myself with some of the Classic Who. But DT is still the one who stole my heart.
By the way, did you have a chance to hear Dan Radcliffe’s interview with WOR radio in New York? He told them there’d be more location filming for the DH movie than any of the previous ones. (Hmmm… camping scenes? The Malfoy Manor? Gringotts is probably going to be a set rather than on a location… but I wonder if they’re going to keep in the dragon-back escape?) At least if I know Tennant’s on his way out, I can look forward to the Potter movies!
