We have several pieces of news regarding Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince today, including yet more rumors on the long awaited teaser trailer and more.
First, scores of readers let us know about this very small photo that has now surfaced online, showing a different angle of the previously officially released photo of the trio in the common room. While this new photo is small indeed, you can see more of the students sitting in the room.
This photo first surfaced on this site, curiously posted by the person who revealed the earlier photo of what seems to be Harry looking in a filing cabinet from Half-Blood Prince, and who has now apparently posted something that is claimed to be the teaser poster.UPDATE: Thanks much to WB for confirming that yes indeed, that poster is FAKE. We have also received many reports from readers of that site and elsewhere the teaser trailer for HBP will now be shown in front of Get Smart, when that film is released on June 20. Other reports are coming to TLC saying the international trailer will be released in front of the new Batman film, The Dark Knight when that opens in July. While we are as anxious as you for the teaser trailer, please note that all of this is very much unconfirmed, and should remain firmly in the RUMOR category the time being. We have contacted WB to find out more about this new photo, trailer dates and more, and will update of course as soon as we can.
I still feel like we should be getting an actual teaser trailer/some more behind the scenes pics and stuff by now. I mean, it opens in 6 months…I feel like we already had a ton of photos and such about 8 months prior to OotP. Odd…
The poster- as much as I hate to say it, it has an aura of “I’m fake and my only purpose is too taunt you!”
Anyways… I want to get excited, I really do… but I can’t until I get a real WB speech saying: The teaser will be on…(insert date here). It’s been to much rumor so much nothing.
Although, after fanatic rumors always come real things… Crossing fingers….
Well, I would say that the poster is fake because Harry looks so fat, Dumbledore is wearing a hat, the faces are not shown (which is not recurrent in WB posters), and due to the lights, that suggest it’s made up
I agree on the comments about the poster, the silhouette of Harry just looks like a darkened out form from one of the Order of the Phoenix posters. Hmm. And regarding the trailer, well, I’m not going to hold my breath. =/ Time will tell I suppose.
i don’t care where the pictures came from, whether they are official or not, its something! Oh and Leaky the “official” photo of the trio in the common room, the commentary that you opened up for everyone to do, was so much fun, starwars fans do that with fan pictures, that is something we should do more often, whether its screen shots or fan pictures, it something to pass the time and make us all laugh…..
i agree with Alejandro Martinez WB always have there faces showing and i dont think it will just be him and dumbledore on the cover..it would give to much away..possibly
i had an after thought i think that WB is waiting for all of the really big movies to be out already and if the teaser would play before batman do you guys have any idea how many people are anxious to see that movie! i Am! so i think that they have a plan of action.i hope so
I just can’t understand the lack of anything official from WB. No teaser trailer, no pics, no official word on anything—NOTHING. Instead, it appears that for some reason they’re keeping all the movie stuff mum while leaking out little stills through some random person on a website to motivate interest, and by extension, taunt the fans. Despicable. Come on, WB! Give us something!
It could be real or fake. Harry kind of does look big in that poster but it could be the clothes he’s wearing. There is another poster of Harry and Bumbledore when there in the cave and they are facing the poster with their backs showing. And in that poster light is showing. The other poster of Harry facing side ways by the mountains was comfirmed fake. But we will know soon.
At least we have 4 photos now! Just kidding =/ WB is being CRUEL!!!! I hope they are keeping a big secret that will suprise us all. All this silence MUST have a good reason…
I think the poster is a fake also. It just looks boring and if it was a teaser who are they trying to tease. It looks like Harry and Dumbledore are on vacation looking at the sunset or something.
I would love to see Draco and Snape get a position on the poster since they are involved in the story for the big moment. Just like Ginny, Neville and Luna got their spot for the OOTP poster. Of course the Trio must also be there with Draco and Snape and I guess Dumbledore too.
The movie is called the Half Blood Prince and we all know who that is and he should be on the poster!
