ABC to Air Harry Potter Movie Saturdays

The main ABC Television Network will be broadcasting the first three Harry Potter films on consecutive Saturday nights in High Definition beginning this weekend. Fans can enjoy Sorcerer’s Stone tonight starting at 8:00pm ET, followed next week, April 25th with a showing of Chamber of Secrets, followed on May 2nd with a broadcast of Prisoner of Azkaban. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be then shown on May 16th on the main ABC station. While it is true these films have aired multiple times in the past, they are always great fun to watch again at home. At this point we do not know if there will be any previews of HBP included, perhaps during the broadcasts next month, but again we have no word on this; we will update with more if it changes.

But I can never seem to be able to watch Sorcerors Stone and Goblet of Fire all the way through, start to end. I always either have to go somewhere or miss parts. But this time I will not. Avatar ImageChaseT says: i love them too but it stinks that we have to wait a week between 3 and 4! the order is 1,2,3, cat in the hat, 4! The Abc family ones aren't in HD in my area anyways. Avatar Imagepottergirl66 says: Oh that's so cool. I haven't seen the movies since we got our newest T.V. It's gonna look sick! Avatar ImageNayNay3782 says: Sweetness:) hehe i just might have to watch it! ;) jk i will if i can.Avatar Imagepottervfd says: I've already noticed that they've cut several lines and pauses to tighten up the "dead space" so the movie can fit in the alotted run time. I've noticed all the cuts so far! There was no "I'm Harry. Just Harry." It's also weird when the line cuts cause jumps in the music.Avatar ImageLove Me Some Sirius says: Richie Gagen I've noticed too. I'm only half watching but when one of the deleted parts happens I notice right away. They took out Uncle Vernon's "if there is any funny business, any at all" part from before leaving for the zoo and Hermione saying "Do you know you have dirt on your nose, just there." Just to name a couple.Avatar Imageblackhellebore says: Oh good now I have something to do tonight.Avatar ImageHeavenly_Horcrux says: I love when they show the movies!Avatar ImageHufflePuff Tim says: It is on the HD Channel as well it looks awesome!!! Avatar Imagefan.numero1 says: yay!Avatar ImageLady of the Lake says: coolAvatar ImageMidnightSun321 says: i just watch them on dvd. but i dont like in america anywayAvatar ImageThe Shadow Lord says: GRR I MISSED THE SORCERER'S STONE >=(Avatar ImagePadfootLover4ever says: watched it last night!Avatar Imagejeannemcl says: And once again ABC did an extremely poor job of editing. Only ABC Family adds the deleted scenes.Avatar Imagerachel77 says: I really love it when they show them. And high Def!Avatar Imagechoirgeek says: Aw, I watched Sorcerer's Stone last night! I loved it, of course :D It brought me back to the first time that I watched it, and everything started for me (I saw the film before I started reading the books). Although they cut out quite a bit, like the bit where Hermione tells Ron he's got dirt on his nose, and the Potions class, which was rather annoying, but I understand that it's one of the longer films.Avatar ImageJersey says: It's funny. I own the movies and I even watch them sometimes. But every time I'm flipping channels on TV and one of the movies is on, I always watch it.Avatar ImageAlice Weasley says: I watched Sorcerer's Stone last night! But they cut out parts- that made me sadAvatar ImageNargleCatcher says: I watched it yesterday, hehe!Avatar Imagemugglemom4 says: Squee!Avatar ImageAriel says: Always love to watch HP films on TV Avatar Imagemarymackie says: The one this last Saturday, "Sorcerer's Stone" had a lot more deleted from it, I think. When it is shown on ABC Family they tend to include the regular version along with the deleted scenes. But when it is on Network, they have more commercials, I guess. Avatar Imagesanjuangelina says: Wow!!! Too bad we don't have ABC in India! Anyway, can't complain!!! I've got all the CDs. Anyway, those of you who do have ABC, enjoy it!!!!Avatar Imagelord kerol kentervil says: It is always interesting to look "Harry Potter", even in that case if you already it looked also it at you on DVD . Such impressions that you look it anew.Avatar Imagesessionka says: I started watching, but quickly realized they cut more out of the broadcast version than the version that was released in the theaters. l lost interest.Avatar Imageqwientje says: I want to see them on TV too, but I don't have ABC.... grrrr oh well, I will watch the dvd tonight insteadAvatar Imageavrenim says: fun!! i haven't watched the movies in a while (except ootp).. it'll be nice to see them again.Avatar Imagericardo2 says: the best movie I ever vei parabens note 100 harry potter and hemione andthe other partiparam the movie ...Avatar ImageBeAchL0veEr05 says: Yay! I love it when they show the movies on TV!Avatar Imagekenmarekestrels93 says: yeah somehow it's really cool to know that hundreds or thousands of other potter fans are watching the exact same thing as you are :DAvatar ImageHGROSS44 says: I hope they put in all the deleateted parts so we can see all the hard work they did to get the movie's outAvatar Imagelilhpchick20 says: I love watching these if only because we get to watch them with the deleted scenes included. Its only a bonus when we see previews.Avatar Imagemugglemom4 says: Cool!Avatar ImageDanielleD says: I saw the first 3, but I had no idea that GoF was on May 16th :(
