face=”Times New Roman” size=”3″>Eek, it’s been a while!

face=”Times New Roman” size=”3″>I am so sorry about this ’ my utterly inept loging-in skills prevented me from remembering my password and everything else to get in to this blog, but I am here now and this one of my old blogs which I’ve not managed to show you.

face=”Times New Roman” size=”3″>OK, It’s a given that I am not Peter’s biggest fan to have ever walked the planet, so this’ll probably be the most biased blog I have ever created but I am going to talk about why he broke off from his Gryffindor roots to become a slightly less than faithful Death Eater.

face=”Times New Roman” size=”3″>I stand by the firm belief that Peter, when he was eleven years old, must have shown potential to be daring, brave, noble and all those other Knightly qualities which make up Gryffindor house¦ but something changed. Of course there are those who believe that the only reason he got into Gryffindor is because he asked the Sorting Hat, like Harry did.

face=”Times New Roman” size=”3″>I like to believe in my theory because I never like to take a character for face value, no matter how obvious they are. But he does seem to have an incredibly cowardly streak to him which doesn’t seem to fit with the house that’s emblem is a lion! But at the same time, I don’t think he belongs to any of the other houses;

size=”3″>He’s not kind, and definitely not loyal.

face=”Times New Roman” size=”3″>- He’s not naturally smart and charismatic.

face=”Times New Roman” size=”3″>- And although many feel that he should be Slytherin, I don’t see it myself. He’s not shrewd at all, he’s just good at getting out of tight spots and as for ambition, I don’t feel that he was ever one for power, more one who wants to stay safe at the cost of anyone else.

I believe he is an innately selfish character, but this still doesn’t explain the ultimate question of WHY he was put in Gryffindor. Admittedly there are people all through the series that don’t exactly fit there house values, or break expectations; Severus, Zacharias, Andromeda and Percy are the first four that comes to mind.

– Why do you think Peter was put in Gryffindor?

face=”Times New Roman” size=”3″>- Who do you think breaks expectations the most in the whole series?

face=”Times New Roman” size=”3″>I hope you enjoyed this rather odd blog, I attempted to be polite towards old, wormy!
