What Would Dumbledore Do?

Lately, I’ve found so many things happening in the past few days that
lead me to wonder what others would do in these incidents. Simply
because it never hurts to try to look at your situation through other
eyes and as this question has begun making it way around, I began to
think about how Dumbledore would handle things?

What Would Dumbledore Do? (http://thehpalliance.org/wwdd/)

What lessons has he taught me in the volumes of Harry Potter?

Stand
by those you love and if you make a mistake and falter, pick yourself
back up and try again. Dumbledore stood by Harry and the students of
Hogwarts doing his best to protect them from what he knew or suspected
was coming. At one point, Dumbledore thought it would be safer for
Harry to distance himself and it turned out to be wrong. He admitted
his error and continued to do his best once again, continuing to guide
and protect the students.

When
you can’t do something, find someone who’s good at it and can.
Dumbledore did not try to do things on his own as when Harry needed to
be trained in occulmency and legimency. Could Dumbledore perform these
acts? I believe he could (though I admit I cannot remember if he
actually did in the books) Yet, when it was important for Harry to
learn these skills, Dumbledore was not afraid to say there was someone
better and called in Professor Severus Snape.

And this also
reminds me that Dumbledore would not do things alone always.
Sometimes, yes, he had to walk a solitary path but when that was not
fully necessary, he found aid and support in friends — Hagrid,
McGonagall, Snape, and others. He found strength in friends.

Speak kind words but
when truth is more important, speak it. It would have been easy to
stand before the students of Hogwarts and praise Cedric Diggory and
give in to the ministries wishes of hiding what really happened. But
it was the harder way to speak the truth — put out in the open what
really happened, not aquiesce to the ministry.

What would Dumbledore Do?

Dumbledore would do whatever it took to find a way to what was the good, the greater good.

Sometimes,
life throws things in our way that seem difficult, random, painful, or
just unrelated to where we are. But there’s a method to it all and a
way to find the purpose and plan to it.
