Bonnie Wright on a Return Trip to King’s Cross Station for Deathly Hallows Epilogue

Actors Tom Felton (Draco) and Bonnie Wright (Ginny) were among those interviewed for Belgium magazine Het Nieuwsblad (scan here) where they spoke about filming of the epilogue for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. In a translation below, Tom said it would probably be the last scene they filmed and Bonnie spoke again about making a return trip to King’s Cross station where she did her first scene for the Harry Potter films.

“Tom Felton: We still have several months filming. The last scene
we will probably be filming the scene 19 years later is playing. I’m
very curious how we all will be.
Bonnie Wright: I’m
looking forward to returning to King’s Cross station. I had my first
scene for the first Harry Potter movie ten years ago. I hardly knew
then what acting was. I especially remember that I was freezing.
Tom: We’ve spent more than ten years together on this film set. We have grown up here. It will be strange to say goodbye.
Bonnie: Who
knows, we can have a reunion in about ten years. What became of the
actors? Maybe we’ll play together in the Harry Potter musical. (Laughs)

Avatar Imageharrypotterjunkie232 says: *first* and kool :D i can't believe that it is coming to an end, that is really sad to think about :( but i wonder if bonnie was talking about AVPM??? :DAvatar Imageele0206 says: omg it's so bittersweet that the place where Bonnie did her first hp scene will also be the place where she'll do her last hp scene! <33 so much has happened since that first film, and yet, here we are, and the love for HP is still growing and growing.Avatar ImageAraminta1987 says: Doubt it, somehow... I'm more worried that this is going to mean bad fake-aged makeup - I'd seriously prefer it of they cast different actors for the epilogue. Avatar ImageWimsey says: Why would they use "bad" makeup? With modern makeup, prosthetics, and CGI, this will be a piece-of-cake. That being written, it is a dumb scene to include, as it really is a wrap of the very first story, not the Deathly Hallows' story. The best way to include it would be to show it AFTER the credits: the few diehards who hang around for it (a la Pirates 3) can get the "treat," whereas Ms. & Mr. Moviegoer who will think that it's a waste of time will not have their time wasted. Avatar ImageAsta says: love the deathly hallows picture. It will be hard to say goodbye to something you've been attached to since 10 years.Avatar ImageAsta says: love the deathly hallows picture. It will be hard to say goodbye to something you've been attached to since 10 years.Avatar ImageMoose_Starr says: Yeah I dont think we have to worry about *bad make up* or anything. We know what could be done years ago with prosthetics in movies like Back To The Future, that was amazingly well done. Techniques and technology have advanced so much since then, many of the Doctor Who shows have various actors aged by prosthetics and make up and, it just looks incredible. Personally I think it's neat they're using the same actors. It just feels so weird to be thinking about filming the epilogue already :sAvatar ImageFlonk says: @Wimsey: excellent idea, I like it. Besides I believe I'll need a break after the battle. "What became of the actors", yes, that is very likely to become a TV documentary. Avatar Imagesueml says: I still don't understand why folks think the epilogue is going to be so difficult. They are only supposed to be in their mid-thirties. People do not look that different at that age - I literally had NO wrinkles at that age (in fact my skin looked nicer than when I was in my teens). Now, in my early 40s I have just a few crinkle lines on the side of my eyes (and not even a touch of gray in the hair yet). Your face thins out - more angular, you look more mature somehow, but not that old. As long as you are careful with the sun, and don't smoke - you'll be surprised how youthful you still look at that age.Avatar ImageParkinsonpansy says: that is the seen i wanna see most in the two moviesAvatar ImageParkinsonpansy says: that is the seen i wanna see most in the two moviesAvatar ImageHPNAIV says: This is so sad :( I don't want the HP movies to end! *tearAvatar ImageThe Stew says: I bet this is a treat for all the kids!Avatar ImageJane_Potter says: I really wanna see it!!!Avatar Imagemagicmaniac says: It is so sad and exciting! I hope they do have a reunion! They have grown up making these it will be sad/strange. sob sob. I just cant think about it!!!! sob sob.Avatar Imagedreampotter says: I just wish it could go on forever.Avatar ImageMidnightSun321 says: It's gonna be the end of an era... :'(!!Avatar ImageWulfricBrian says: If they go back to King's Cross to film that epilogue scene, they'll find it somewhat changed. The 'iconic' footbridge featured in PS/SS and OotP, with the massive clock face, is no longer there, so the panning shot will have to be CGId or borrowed from an earlier film. Nice idea for a 'Fred junior' scene, but I think it'll be James and Albus. Have they cast any children yet??Avatar Imagemonkeygirl163 says: i think thats pretty coolio and that it would be fun to go to london to see the premire of harry potter and the deathly hallows epilogAvatar Imagehermionenluna says: that is awesome. Avatar Imagefriendofblob says: That'll be so cool!Avatar Imageazna70 says: I really hope they do this scene justice.Avatar Imagepotterfan4lyfe says: theyre alreadyy at the epilouge! damn uhhh its coming to an end first the books now the movies ='(Avatar Imagekyramp says: i don't want it to end....Avatar Imagedeadtree says: I didn't like the last scene in DH-- like many, I felt it was just tacked on at the end... but I'll probably cry when I see it. Or IF I see it. I don't know if I can handle watching Fred die, so I might actually skip the last movie xD Avatar Imagechikitcorpuzvesterbaek says: the epilogue bookends the series, i guess. It would be a shame not to include it. Avatar Imagedarker7image says: its going to be over set cgi done by the same inc. that did the elvesAvatar Imagemoondragon15 says: i wonder who's going to play albus, james, lily, rose, hugo and scorpious :)Avatar ImageHermione Elizabeth says: The Epilogue is going to make me really start crying if nothing else will! It'll be a bittersweet end. :( I can't wait to see who play's their children like Albus Severus, Hugo, and the rest of the gang.Avatar Imagealicia00 says: that is sad =(Avatar ImageThe Stew says: I agree with Hermione Elizabeth ^ bittersweet is right :(Avatar Imagecheeserpleaser says: Just contemplating the end of the series taxes me emotionally beyond belief. I do not know how they can handle the end of the filming, for it has been such a part of their lives through which they have developed such rich bonds.Avatar Imagedracomalfoy4evah says: Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday that the first Hary Potter movie came out and now they're filming the last one.Avatar ImageLady of the Lake says: I am really looking forward to that scene. I wonder if it will deviate from the epilogue in the book? Well, it probably will, so maybe the best question is how will it deviate from the book? Can't wait!Avatar Imageiamminerva says: My suggestion for the opening of the epilogue scene: Pan across King's Cross Station, then a close-up of George Weasley, calling "Fred! Fred!" Angelina Johnson Weasley: "Fred! Come on, darling, you don't want to miss the train!" Camera pans to young Fred Weasley II, son of George and Angelina. He puts something down the back of a little girl, who squeals her displeasure. Little Fred just laughs. Angelina looks at her husband and says: "That boy is just like his father." George, with a wistful look in his eye: "...and his Uncle." This is just what I think should happen first. For those who didn't read the book but will be watching the movie, it lets them know that George and Angelina get married and name their son after his Uncle Fred, who died heroically in the fight against Voldemort. I just really want that established. Even though George and Angelina are not in that scene in the book, I really would love to see that. Avatar Imagepadfoot4ever12 says: As everyone's said, it won't be hard to make them look slightly older. They don't need to look significantly older because a) they'll only be in their thirties, and b) we all know wizards don't age the same as muggles, SO if they look younger, it's more accurate, at least in the magical world. :)Avatar Imagepfowlerp says: I really looking forward to this scene and hope they don't leave anything out from the book. They can add to it, but don't take anything out from the epilogue of the book!Avatar Imageccking says: I can't belive they're almost filming the very last scene EVER. :'( :'( This is going to be a greeeat and extremely hard scene to do!! they have to get it PERFECT. it's litterally their very last chance.Avatar Imagemonkeygirl163 says: i think thats pretty coolio and that it would be fun to go to london to see the premire of harry potter and the deathly hallows epilogAvatar Imageginevrapotter07 says: Rupert (from the looks of his other movies) look 19 years older than Ron already... Dan and Tom can work on that too. But Bonnie and Emma... they both look so young!! :D btw, I was about to read the scan, but I didn't understand a word of it. lol.xDAvatar ImageLulubelleI says: I can't believe it's all coming to an end. Avatar ImageAsi says: OMG each time I read and realise that it's coming to its end I freez and understand that years are passing so fast .....Avatar Imagemuggle118 says: so sad yet i cant waitAvatar ImageGiant Squid says: it is coming to an end so quickly! SLOW DOWN!!! It is really sweet that the first place that Bonnie filmed at for HP will also be the last.Avatar Imagejlinhard03 says: I'm sad that this will be the end. I want it to keep on going and going. I would love to see their kids and what happens after the battle at Hogwarts. I feel that these characters are a part of my family. :(Avatar Imagemissdelbridge says: So excited but sad at the same time, love the epilogue though, can't wait to see it!!Avatar Imagevioletpotter says: I love that they are filming the last scene last, and it's very cool that things play out for Bonnie the way that they do. I'm looking forward to seeing the epilogue; it will be interesting to see the actors made older. It will be bittersweet for me thought. The epilogue was the end of the books, and it will end the movies too :(Avatar ImageWickedLoz says: Guys, the characters are only meant to be 36/37 years old, its not like they're going to be aged to their late 50s or anything!!! I'm really, really looking forward to the scene.. Maybe because I'm only one of the few that enjoyed the book ending. Would love to know if they have cast the Weasley and Potter kids yet!!! Avatar ImageWON_TWO says: Interesting interview...Avatar Imagesimos says: coolAvatar Imagenox avis says: nooo its all in a different language:( 'Maybe we'll play together in the Harry Potter musical.' lmao Avatar ImageDiamondWings says: Aww!! so excitedAvatar Imagekiwimci says: They'll only be in their thirties, it'll be really subtle aging they wont have grey hair or anythingAvatar Imagepromote_elfish_welfare says: This is so sad to hear.. filming the epilogue.. :( Avatar ImageDawna says: Oh ithas to be the original actors in the Epilogue! They are all adults now anyway.Avatar Imagenutela17 says: i dont want the harry potter films to come to an end ;( but the scence will be realley cool Avatar ImagetheREALGinnyWeasley says: I cant wait for the epilogue!!! Im gonna miss them so much!!!!!! <3Avatar ImageSmitch says: SiiiggghhhhAvatar Imagewing says: hahahahaAvatar Imagewing says: hahahahaAvatar Imageharry.wizardfreak says: This is amazing, these are the actors that this generation grew up with. We love Tom and Bonnie. But we will miss them in the end!Avatar ImageWendelin the Weird says: Ooo Exciting. I’m really looking forward to that scene. I don’t want it to end, though. Sad :'( Avatar ImageSlytherin Princess101 says: So sad its almost over but exiting too!Avatar Imagewing says: hahahahaAvatar Imagewing says: hahahahaAvatar Imagewing says: hahahahaAvatar ImageTassana Burrfoot says: I'm sure Darren Criss and them wouldn't mind giving their play over to the HP actors. ;)Avatar Imagealegria35 says: harry potter the musical... a new project to watch.. :)Avatar ImageBoyWithALightningScar says: Ha! I'd kill to see them play in the HP musical. Good idea, Bonnie!Avatar ImageTheGoldenSeeker says: this is so sad. i can't wait for the movie, but then again i dread it since it's the end of the series. Avatar ImageFigment says: It will be interesting to see how they age them, I'm sure they will do it justice though.Avatar ImageScarStruck says: awww ti's all sooooo sad to even think abotu let alone try to comprohend anyway its a nice interview. =[Avatar Imagemugglemom4 says: I will probably be bawling my eyes out during the scene because it is the end of the series. Avatar Imageaj_ellybean says: I'm gonna be so sad by the end of that last King's Cross scene. We've all grown up with Harry Potter, and it'll be strange once both the books and the movies have come to an end. On another note, I wonder if anyone in the cast has seen AVPM. :)Avatar ImagegaylebathanHP says: I cried when I watched HBP months ago.. I cried not cuz Dumbledore died, but because HP is almost finished.. :(((Avatar Imagewandmastercalum says: I love 19 years later and I don't care what anyone says! They need this scene and putting it at the end of the credits would be completley ridiculus!!!!!!Avatar Imagehprocks2700 says: Why does it have to end?Avatar ImageLittle Light says: =D
