The Harry Potter actors have been both the subjects of casting rumours and participants in a number of interviews this week. British newspaper The Daily Mail reports that Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) is rumoured to have been cast in short film “Sweat” as a “beautiful woman dating an immature young man.” “Sweat”‘s script was written by Alexandra Billington, is set in London and will be one of five short films to comprise the 2010 international feature “Geography of the Hapless Heart.” The Daily Mail alleges, “Bonnie has read the
script by Alexandra Billington and has told the writer and producer
Peter Ogunsalu that she’s ready for cameras to roll late November,
although she hasn’t officially signed on the dotted line yet.” Find out more about “Geography of the Hapless Heart” on the feature’s official website.

Michael Gambon (Albus Dumbledore) appeared on RTÉ One’s The Late Late Show on Friday, 16th April, where he briefly discussed his role as the Hogwarts Headmaster in the Harry Potter films. Gambon discussed fan encounters and being confused by those who stop him on the street for actor Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf in “Lord of the Rings”). The actor also spoke about his experience working on the Harry Potter films for the past seven years. You can watch the interview at this link; it begins approximately 42 minutes in.

The world’s first 3D compact digital camera has been reviewed for The Daily Mail by Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley). Grint describes the Fujifilm W1 3D as “big and chunky” but expressed his surprise at how well shooting with the camera in 3D mode worked, commenting that it “opens up a whole new world.” The actor stresses the cost of using the camera and viewing the photos in 3D, as extra purchases are necessary to do so, but nonetheless concludes “if you find the right angle and the right subject matter you can take some really stunning photos.” You can read Grint’s full review of the Fujifilm W1 3D via this link.

Thanks to our Order Partner,, we can let you know about a number of new interviews with Rupert Grint as the actor continues to promote upcoming theatrical release “Cherrybomb.” Grint shares his favourite places, meals and memories of London with the Evening Standard; you can find it here on the newspaper’s website.

London-based arts magazine FAULT have tweeted that they will be interviewing Grint on Monday and want to know what you’d like to ask the actor. FAULT is released quarterly and you can find out more information about the magazine, including distribution, on their website.

Lastly, Empire Online have two new video interviews with “Cherrybomb” cast members Rupert Grint and Robert Sheehan (Malachy and Luke in the film, respectively). The actors discuss cast bonding on the set, the pace of “Cherrybomb” compared to the Harry Potter films and the “amazing” petitioning by Grint’s fan base for the cinema release of the former. You can watch the interviews on the Empire Online website. Thanks again to for the heads up! “Cherrybomb” will be released on the 23rd of April.
