The Daily Telegraph has a report on the 2010 Sunday Times Rich List online today, which includes actors Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) on its ranking of the top 20 young millionaires. Joining such other young actors, actresses, business moguls, and royals as Keira Knightley, Charlotte Church, and Princes William and Harry, the paper reports the following on the Harry Potter trio:

“Daniel Radcliffe, 20, who plays Harry Potter in the films, was ranked fifth with a fortune of £42 million. His earnings last year alone were £25.6 million according to Vanity Fair magazine. Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger, was placed joint 10th with £22 million and Rupert Grint, who plays Ronald Weasley, was 12th with £20 million. The last two films are due to be released later this year and in 2011.”

A second article in the Telegraph notes that Harry Potter J. K. Rowling was also included on the Sunday Times’ rankings, listing at number five in the Film and TV Millionaires list. The paper notes, “Harry Potter creator Joanne Rowling ’ the richest author on the list, with an estimated wealth of £519m ’ has increased her fortune from the books with a hugely profitable film series. Ms Rowling, who wrote the first of seven Harry Potter books when a struggling single mother in Edinburgh, enjoys a percentage of all royalties and merchandising. But unlike many top authors, she has refused to become a tax exile and still lives in Scotland.”
