“Deathly Hallows: Part 2″ Shortlisted for Visual Effects Oscar

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2″ is shortlisted as one of the top 15 films that is in the running for a 2012 visual effects Oscar. The list was released by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Other films in the running include “Thor,” “Captain America,” “Super 8″ and “Sucker Punch.”

The list will be narrowed down to five films, and will be announced with the rest of the official Oscar nominations on January 24, 2012.
